I picked this up yesterday and it's so awesome. I could never get a good looking, quick blow out with round brush+dryer, it always ended up with frizzy ends and no volume. I used this on 80% dry hair and it gave me such a smooth blowout with defined ends and so soft! Highly recommend!
Argh I have this (bought for $45 last year) and haven’t been able to make it work with my thick, straight, half-Asian hair. I’ve tried drying my hair with a microfibre towel or hair dryer a bit first, watched a couple YouTube videos... just can’t get that blowout effect! But the ladies on my local (rich) moms group are absolutely OBSESSED with it!
this thing is the bomb, I love it!
I have to buy this, doing my hair takes so long. Sounds like like everyone really likes it. Thank you for your reviews !!!
Just an fyi, if you have a lot of hair you’d quickly become frustrated when trying to completely dry soaking wet hair just using this tool! Strongly recommend using on halfway damp hair.
Also not recommended for short hairs. The brush is quite large and folks with short hair will mostly end up blowing hot air to your own faces.
Awesome find! Does anybody know if this is in store as well?
Someone said it is!
I really want this... I was hoping for some kind of multiplier or free gift with purchase. Is this on sale until June? If so I could use my birthday coupon!
I just bought this after eyeing it a month ago. I use a round brush blow dryer but my ends end up too 60s for my liking. Hoping this will give me a straighter blow dry in as little time. 🤞🏽
Nordstorm Rack has something similar for even cheaper! Someone linked nordstorm rack earlier on this subreddit for their Nars stuff, but if you scroll down more there’s a lot of hair tools too
Very true. Found a urban decay eyeliner and mascara pack for 12$
You're right, there are some pretty cool looking Conair tools on there. I didn't realize Conair made one of these. Thanks!
I have been wondering how good it works? I hate blow drying my hair , then use straighter for the frizzy . So does this work good?? I would love to hear your opinions. Thank you
It's amazing - I bought it a few months ago and am tempted to get a 2nd for my travel bag. I let my hair air dry (or rough dry it with my blow dryer and fingers until 50% dry) and then use this. For the record, I got the Dyson air wrap during the Rouge sale and promptly returned it within a week. It just wasn't worth it for the curling attachment, and my hair looks MUCH better (more volume, less frizz) w/ the Revlon than the Dyson.
I got this and have literally recommended it to EVERYONE. I have a lot of hair. It takes me like 2 hours to blow dry and straighten it. With this, I’m done in less than 20 minutes.
I love it. My favorite purchase maybe ever.
Edit: I have relatively curly hair, down to my mid to low back
Yes, it works great. Closest I've been able to get to a blowout at home. It kinda mimics what a stylist will do with a dryer and one of those big round brushes. If you use it you will not need to blow dry and straighten. It can't get the hair as bone-straight as a straightening iron, BUT it does leave it with a lot more body.
Check out some reviews on youtube. Milabu has posted about it a lot and she shows the best way to use it.
I love it, it leaves my hair very nice in about 5 minutes (I have very short hair though).
Thank you so much, OP! Have been after this. Had to pick this up, plus that Flower Beauty blush I’ve been eyeing to get free shipping!
So have I! I got your back ;)
I have this.
It is loud and heavy. I damaged my right wrist (I’m right-handed) and using this fatigues it more than using a hairdryer and round brush. It’s that heavy, my hairdryer is very light. But, I like that the Revlon is easy to use, no contorting with two hands.
It’s also difficult to clean. I feel it pulls out a lot of my fine, thin hair, which is a bummer. I was pulling hair out of the bristles but that started to pull some of the bristles out, and once they are out they can’t be put back in. So now it’s got some areas of missing bristles. I now clean out the hair with a toothbrush, I use it to kind of grab the hair.
Product also gets built up on the bristles and that is hard to clean. Unlike a regular brush you can’t just soak it in a cleaning solution. Again, when I try and get the built-up product off I pull out bristles.
I do use this a few days a week because the ease and convenience can’t be beat. But when I do use it I inevitably have to use my wrist brace later that day. I also lift weights religiously, so I’m not weak by any means. I just want to say if you have a bad wrist or arthritis or whatever is wrong with my wrist (I can’t seem to get a good diagnosis) it might exacerbate the issue.
Does anyone know how long this will be on sale for? I can't make it to the store tonight but don't want to pay for shipping if I don't have to.
I saw this brush on sale for $24.99 yesterday or a couple days ago
I wish I knew about it then :(. I've been wanting this for awhile but couldn't stomach the $60.
I’ve long considered this item but just gave my hair a big chop so don’t really it any time soon .. I do see that there is a 20% coupon code on Ulta .. worth checking out ..
I gotta say, I’ve had this dryer for almost 2 years now and it’s a DREAM. I save so much time and energy compared to a regular dryer and a round brush. It gives me a salon-quality blowout every time.
I stopped using my dryer and only use this...totally worth the money. It’s a little loud, but it works magic!
Ugh wish I would’ve seen this yesterday when Ebates was 15% cash back at Ulta! I’ve been wanting to buy one of these.
I got this baby last year around black Friday, and I was literally in tears the first time I used it... It's THAT good, and I couldn't believe how great my hair looked. I have hair that is very fine, wavy and horribly frizzy... And this blow dryer makes it so easy to get real volume and actual bounce to my hair!
I actually just purchased a back-up yesterday with ULTA's current promo because my current one has taken a bad beating. It gets hot quite fast - I even blew a fuse in my house from over-using it so now I wait until my hair is 80% dry, then I just use it to fluff it all out... and I still get the same great results!
Once I open my new one, I feel like I'll be able to take care of it better. I will say it's really hard to clean also. I use a lot of dry shampoo, and it creates horrible build up on the brush, but baby wipes help with this a bit!
Bottom line - I DEFINITELY recommend!
Thank you for the review! Do you think this tool would work for long hair? If I stand straight, my hair ends at my elbows. It’s also very fine but flat, do you think I’ll have any luck adding volume with this?
I got this about 6 months ago thanks to my fiance. I had an Ulta GC and needed help picking something out. He pointed to this when I was scrolling through because it looked "rad" and I am soooo happy I purchased this on that silly whim.
I have long hair, almost exactly to my elbows too! I have a lot of hair but each individual strand is considered to be fine. I use this a couple times a week and it makes my hair so shiny, smooth, and adds extra volume! I would 100% recommend this, I love it soso much!
Thank you so much!
Yes, for sure! My hair is similar in length, probably a bit shorter, but as long as you work in sections, you'll be good! I hope you love it!!
I have this and it dries my straight hair pretty well, but it’s obnoxiously loud. I feel self conscious using this in the locker room because it’s almost a high pitched ringing noise
If you shower at night and want to be able to run something through your hair to make it looked polished in the morning, this is it. Worth every penny. (I have fine shoulder length hair for reference.
I use this and it really enjoy it. I don’t have curly hair, more just... thick? But I love the volume this gives me! I do run my straightener through real quick afterwards for the added smoothness. It does produce a lot of steam.
I wanted to love this so badly. I just could not.
Same. Bought it last year before it got suddenly and weirdly popular. Sold it almost immediately. It didn’t smooth my (coarse, wavy) hair, and seemed too damaging to use as a ‘from wet’ hair dryer. It worked about as well as those hot paddle brush style straighteners- which I also don’t get along with. Dryer also did not succeed in giving my hair a bent “blow out” bend. Maybe it’s just best for silkier hair types. Sorry for the novel - all the sudden hype around this product has left me nowhere to spread my saltiness lol. Thanks.
Same here. I do not like the look I get with this. I have very dry, curly & frizzy hair. It makes my hair so frizzy and fluffy that won’t be tamed even when I straighten it after. Maybe I’m doing something wrong? Or maybe I shouldn’t try to straighten my curly ass hair? Lol
Aww dang. Do you mind expanding on hair type and what you didn’t like? I’ve been eyeing it for months and finally pulled the trigger when I realized I could get it for 38 bucks yesterday. I’m hoping I like it but I feel it could be a bit... gimmicky
I have thick frizzy hair. It does work for me, but it has made my ends worse and also my moms ends. I still use it sometimes bc it does work for both of us.
Thanks! Is it possible to just focus it on the roots to get that volume or is that unlikely with how it’s built?
The roots are tough bc you can’t get super close to your scalp and it gets very hot and burns a little. You can probably learn to do it tho. I get good volume with it.
Same here! I was disappointed it wasn't part of the Gorgeous Hair Event, so I bought it last night at this price. Hope it works out!
My hair is very very fine but it will do anything. It's naturally wavy but it will straighten or curl and hold it. I just didn't feel like it dried my hair any faster, and I didn't like the look that looked like a 90s mom that didn't exactly know how to straighten. So many people love it, and I thought I would. I was super sad when I didn't.
Bummer, but thanks for sharing. I have a lot of fine hair that’ll do anything as well. One of my friends uses it and her ends look kinda over straightened and fried... hoping that’s not due to the Revlon dryer 😂
I feel the same. I do like it better than blow drying, but less than other hairstylers.
I have this and tbh I don’t love it, I find the oval rather than round shape of it makes a weird curve on my hair, especially my bangs.
It is a cool product though, works for drying and smoothing. I want to get the flat brush one.
I love this hair dryer- I have thick hair and while I don’t use it with sopping wet hair, it works great!
This thing is awesome. I haven't touched my hair dryer & round brush since I got it. I have thick, 2b type hair down to my butt almost and it helps conserve my arm strength.
Also, I got it on amazon for ~$50 shipped so $38 is a great deal.
Anyone recommend this tool?
Yes! I have thick hair shoulder length 2a hair and it is an amazing replacement if you’re a blow dryer and round brush kind of person. I do use my dryer still to just blast dry if I need to get out the door, but It cuts the time down by half and my hair is smoother and shinier than the round brush method, with way less product. It’s much better than the Amika straightening brush, and I haven’t touched my trusty Chi straightener since buying either. That is such a great price, I would snatch it up and if you don’t like it you can always return it!!
Damn thanks guys now I want it!
Yes, i recommend this tool SO much!! It seriously makes styling my hair soooo much easier and when i use it my hair is soft, shiny, straight, manageable. I can’t recommend this product enough!!
People can also get this for 20% off at Bed Bath and Beyond any time
The Ulta sale price is 20% off, so stacking the coupon makes it 36% off.
