I hate that you said it before me
I can't believe you've done this
kinda like I hate that ludwig van beethoven wrote the 5th symphony before me
You ever wanna comment something completely off the cuff and EXTREMELY niche, and make that a pun or something and somebody still posts it before you or something in the same vain but a little better worded? That's when Reddit gets fucking wierd.
Yup...I was thinking the same. He got it first
He scrambled to post it first.
I didn't get this pun :(
Escargot is a French dish made primarily of snails
Hmmm... while you’re not wrong, as a French speaker, Escargot literally means snail. It’s not necessarily a dish.
Look at that S car go.
This guy knows snails.. I'm guessing...
Damnit!!! Umm................shit, can’t think of a good backup pun. Can anyone help me out here?
This should be the title when this gets reposted
The only reason I am in this thread!
Wow that caught me off guard
It's even shooting lasers!
Came for this, wasn't disappointed.
yes, it is a snail.
☑ Love to put salt on it
☑️ Gives me salmonella
That went from 0-100 real fast.
Holy shit, Samsung emojis are so bad. I literally had to look it up to see what that was.
Apparently the off-white house shape is supposed to be a ballet box with a piece of paper going into it diagonally with a miniscule checkmark on it.
Why the fuck isn't it a square with a checkmark like literally every other platform?
What about that laser?
So which came first, the egg or the snail?
You should get together with the Slug Nugget guy
Kinda fucked up to eat chicken and egg in the same meal. It's like eating a child in front of its mother.
Cute slug though.
I don't usually eat fertilized eggs...
Cheeseburgers. Meat coated in the meal intended for its young.
They had us in the first half not gonna lie
This is the third egg-related post I've seen in a row. What is going on.
The Baader-meinhof phenomenon.
I just saw this referenced in another thread. Is there a name for this?
Yes, the name for this is the Baader-meinhof phenomenon. In a nutshell, it means that when you learn or notice something for the first time, you tend to see that same thing everywhere. This happens because your brain is now receptive to recognising that new piece of information when you see it, while before, your brain didn't even register it.
I read a while back about the blue/orange color contrast they use in Hollywood movie posters, I didn't notice this until I read it on TVtropes, and suddenly I started seeing it everywhere! That's because my brain wasn't aware of it before, but after learning about it, my brain would register it whenever I saw a movie poster using those 2 colors.
It’s a reddit ploy to get you to start laying eggs.
Just add salt!
That's cool. You should post that on Reddit.
This is the beginning of an aliens invasion. The slug species from Adromada have disguised themselves as delicious food.
This looks like it should be a creature in hollow knight
I smell a fake.
Yeah, not too sure why people are acting like this is real. Perfect stalks, what appears to be an eye on the "head", right side of the snail part is a bit too perfect. No pictures from multiple angles. Cool, but photoshop isn't exactly mildlyinteresting.
Friendly little snail has decided to come out of his shell.
Just like your egg did, this post is going to blow up.
Forecast is calling for heavy weather
It always creeps me out when I do hard-boiled eggs and one overflows/explodes like that.
s n e g g
Cross posting with trans sub now
This looks freaking cute!
Thats a decoy snail, the real one is right behind you!
Badass,it’s nice when the matrix gives you these small pleasures
Now freeze it and sell it as modern art
I would've put salt on it.
It's ironic to share this here (with it being a snail and all), but if you put salt in the water when boiling eggs, it prevents the egg from coming out if the shell breaks while rocking around in the bubbles. I didn't believe it at first, but it 100% works and have done it ever since.
If you put a tablespoon of vinegar in the water it makes the shells easier to peel as well.
If you’re planning to boil an egg with the shell still on. Put the egg in the pot with the water first then turn on the stove that way the egg won’t explode
Or poke a small hole in the shell before you start, which also conveniently makes them easier to peel.
Starting from a pot of cold water works very well for hard-boiled eggs but it doesn't really work when you want perfect soft-boiled eggs (which requires precise cooking times).
Just don’t turn the heat too high, and put them in gently when the water simmers. If you want to time the egg. But then OP wouldn’t have made a snail
I thought I was cooking it correctly, but I must have been following some alchemists guide for spontaneous generation instead.
Snails are important. Make sure your egg pops JUST RIGHT
Also looks like it’s giving the peace sign with its tongue out
Kinda reminds me of gummy candy
A rare albino snail.
one of the few times food DOESNT look like genitals
Popped might be a better description. Unless you were scraping egg off the ceiling your egg has not exploded.
I have had better results with hard boiled in the Instant Pot... but no snails...
So i can't sprinkle salt on it?
I now believe this is how evolution works.
oh i love snails and this makes me so happy 💕
This boiled egg that exploded while cooking and looks like a snail.
This boiled egg that eggsploded* while cooking and looks like a snail.
Escargot I'd be willing to eat.
A snegg if you will
looks more like ghostbusters 2 logo
Wow!! Eggactly like a snail!
It's all fun and games until it eats you and assume your form
Plot twist. It's actually a snail.
Oh no! Cordyceps have taken over THE EGG!!!
This is an eggsnail
