Apparently it's the CoA of County Monaghan in Ireland. And they're...uhh...not great...
Does anybody know when the arms were adopted, whether the Chief herald had any say in their design, etc.?
It's recorded in Volume W Folio 20. The grant uses the term "ratify", although it is headed "Grant" rather than "Confirmation". I'd have to do more research to be sure on how consistently the terminology is used by the Office, but my assumption is that this is a confirmation of long-assumed arms (as opposed to a "Confirmation" of arms registered elsewhere or long ago).
