Pizza is serious business. Just like you wouldn’t classify a labradoodle-dalmatian-mix as a pure-bred dalmatian, you can’t just call anything a pizza. There are certain standards.
That being said, all pizza matters and you better enjoy it. Weaklings eating less than 2 slices are an abomination to the human species and deserve to live their miserable lives in exile.
R‘Amen & bon apple tea
I completely agree, and can appreciate, that there is nuance and semantics as to what is, and what is not, Pizza.
However, for context: they were claiming ONLY thin crust is "real" pizza. Specifically rallying that thick crust is not. And making up rules about how you aren't supposed to eat it to get full.
For added context, I commented on a different post in a food subreddit earlier today as well when someone posted a "cold avocado pizza" and I had to call it out as a flat bread as they are similar but not the same. Might seem pedantic, but thems the semantics.
The traditional Italian pizza is indeed thin crusted. However, most parts around the world have adapted the thick crusted pizza especially Americans love dearly. Both are a blessing to our tastebuds. Putting avocados on pizza, however, is a sin one can’t easily repent nor redeem themselves from. There is no coming back and cases like these need to be reported to the International Pizza Police immediately to prevent further harm.

A fancy flatbread sure, but a pizza it was not. So close yet so far. Similar, not the same.
Do you have a preferred case worker at IPP with whom I should pass along said infraction for processing? I'm looking for a quick turn around but understand they are in high demand, and my connection has since transferred over to The Department of Topping Coverage. Good ol' DTC making sure you get even toppings, and determining at what point they are considered "extra"
Do you need a job? I heard the IPP are currently recruiting and you seem like a great candidate. Sadly they had a corruption scandal recently as many of the officers had started to consume confiscated items, which, in turn, lead to a rise of obesity among them. As of recent they solved this by creating a new division responsible for eating said items after all necessary evidence and information had been obtained. Transfers between divisions are fluent and keeping in shape is part of the routine, this helped create new jobs as well as keeping the officers motivated, resulting in a response time unmatched by any other agency/department in the world. As much as I like Giovanni, the head of the department, any regular officer will be immediately at your service so you mustn’t worry.
Thank you I am so glad to hear that. I was rocked after the scandal initially leaked, but am exuberant to hear of their wonderful recovery and turn-around. A lot of good people over there
Is that not dark mode?
