Chuck berry smuggled a 14 year old across state lines for sexual reasons, got caught with alleged child pornography in his house and set up a camera in his restaurant to film women while they used the restroom and he’s still well regarded as a rock and roll legend
Something you learn eventually, a surprising amount of famous people are horrible monsters.
He also farted in a hookers mouth on tape. Not illegal, but after seeing that clip it's all I can think about when I hear his name. Yuck
Edit: Alright everybody. I love y'all but...I'm not gonna provide a source-even for research. It's pretty easy to find. Also, "Chuck Dingle Berry" or "Yuck Berry" have been done at least 10-15 times each today. While I do trust that you all came up with that joke independently, it has become played out.
Guess you guys aren’t ready for that yet....but your kids are gonna love it!
You know that new sound you've been looking for!? Well listen to this!
Edit: Wow! My first gold!
Fuck me, what a comment
What? That’s disgusting. Wow. Where did you see this video? I want to make sure I never stumble upon this website or link by accident.
EdIt: hahahha its real. Oh man that is the funniest shit ever. Efukt is the greatest website of all time.
It's NSFW obviously
“I can’t kiss you, your face smells like piss.” - Chuck Berry
That's the funniest and most disturbing thing I've seen all week. He sounds like The Ladies Man.
Im not sure what i was expecting when i clicked that...jesus fuck
Oh my ...
She's trying her best, but she really didn't enjoy being peed on
She seemed pleasantly surprised by it instead of disgusted. Hard to tell if she was cheap or really expensive.
“Oh those disgusting ex-girlfriend porno sites. I mean there’s so many of them though. Which one? Which one did he post them to?”
Get told how great you are from youth, get showered with fame and fortune and it only becomes natural to think you're above the rules.
I honestly wonder how many of us would give in to our worst selves if we had the power and money to get away with it.
More than you might believe
I believe it would be a large number, honestly, given how often it seems to happen in the first place.
Oh I would’ve Overdosed a long time ago in a room full of models if I had the money and power.
you're like a playboy cotton-eye joe
Probably most of us. I think the rate increases with those who are lower down on the socio-economic ladder. They suffer so much that selling their soul to the proverbial devil is worth it to live comfortably.
Next you’ll tell me Gary Glitter has issues as well!
His issue is he rocks too hard.
a surprising amount of famous people are horrible monsters
It's not surprising to me that once people can have whatever they want, their precious and delicate facade of minding the social codes we have fall apart.
I like to think I wouldn't get addicted to coke, fuck over careers to save mine, steal work but I truthfully don't know if you told me I could have enough to buy a private island.
Obviously some things are so awful I'm sure I would never do them, but everyone is fucked up in a different way and we spend a lot of energy suppressing that in order to avoid hurting others. When the stakes aren't so high socially, the sky can become a limit for some of these awful human beings.
Money is a morality governor, most people don't think about it that way. There are a lot of things you rule out off the top simply because they're not feasible (because you can't afford them). If you aren't right with yourself, whatever the issue is money will amplify it. You have an addictive personality, get addicted to benzos and coke. Like to flirt a little too much, now you're a sex addict. You have people all around you willing to do whatever you want.
Other sexual predators who preyed on underage girls and their careers were mostly unfazed:
Jerry Lee Lewis
Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page made the news in the 1970s when he started calling 14-year-old Lori Maddox his “girlfriend” – but nobody had a clue how bad it was. Maddox has since said that the relationship started when she was “kidnapped” by Page. “Get in the bloody car,” Page allegedly ordered her, “and if you move, I’ll have your head.”)
David Bowie (David Bowie was notorious for sleeping with underage girls. In 1973, he reportedly took the virginity of Lori Maddox when she was just 15-years-old. In addition, he told her to invite her also 15-year-old friend to join them. Maddox says they were just two of countless other so-called “baby groupies” that Bowie invited into his bedroom.”
Ted Nugget (Ted Nugent once adopted a 17-year-old girl so that he could sleep with her without getting charged for kidnapping her from her parents. In addition to that, rock singer Courtney Love says that she performed oral sex on Nugent when she was only 12. None of this should be all that surprising, given that this is the guy who wrote a song about avoiding pedophilia charges by forcing a 13-year-old girl to have sex with a cop.)
Anthony Kiedis (The Red Hot Chilli Peppers' song "Catholic School Girls Rule" isn’t just a song – it’s a love ode to a 14-year-old girl Anthony Kiedis slept with when he was 23. Kiedis noted in his autobiography that he “wasn’t incredibly scared” when the girl told him she was 14, so he “had sex one more time” with the barely pubescent girl.)
Bill Wyman (Rolling Stones' Bill Wyman started dating Mandy Smith when he was 47-years-old – and she was 13. Wyman insists that he did nothing wrong – because he asked her mother if it was okay.)
Marvin Gaye (1966, Soul legend Marvin Gaye had an affair with his wife’s 15-year-old niece, Denise Gordy. After getting the young girl pregnant, he made his wife pretend the child was her own. That’s pretty bad – but his next marriage to Janis Hunter might even have been worse. Gaye repeatedly beat his wife - once even holding a knife to her neck - and forced her to perform sexual favors for his friends.)
Tupac (Since his death, Tupac has been a rap legend – but that doesn’t mean he was a saint. After all, this is a man who, in 1993, was sent to jail for gang-raping a woman alongside three other men. “I was star struck and in awe of this man, Tupac Shakur,” his victim told the court. “He took advantage of his stardom to abuse me and betray my trust.”)
And more here: https://allthatsinteresting.com/rock-stars-sexual-misconduct
Tupac was acquitted completely of the rape charge because he wasn't even in the room when the rape happened plus dna evidence proved he wasn't involved.
He was sentenced to jail for touching the victim's "buttocks" the night before in the club without asking permission (seriously), which he completely admitted to. In a separate note, she admitted to voluntarily giving him oral sex in that club the same night he grabbed her butt without permission.
Adding Tupac to that list is extremely disingenuous.
Yes. Her relationship with Page casts doubt for many on her claims about Bowie (i.e., if she was dating Page at 14 how likely is it she lost her virginity to Bowie at 15), but regardless, both relationships were incredibly problematic and it's very, very likely both men were guilty of statutory rape of Maddox as well as god knows how many other teenage groupies.
Tupac did not go to jail for a gang rape. You need to do some more research.
You wrote Ted Nugget lol
Maddox has since said that the relationship started when she was “kidnapped” by Page. “Get in the bloody car,” Page allegedly ordered her, “and if you move, I’ll have your head.”
Last time I saw Lori Maddox being interviewed on the topic, she said Page sent a limo to pick her up and bring her to him at home..?
It's such a weird topic. On one hand, I want to be able to separate the artist from the art; terrible people can still make great things. On the other, some of these things make me feel like I don't want to be associated with that artist.
To illustrate, let's talk about H.P Lovecraft. He was a pretty racist dude (maybe classist or something along those lines would be more accurate, but regardless), but he was truly a visionary in terms of horror. Without a doubt, one of my favorite authors.
For a more extreme example, Ted Nugent. He's a despicable piece of human garbage, but he wrote Stranglehold and The Great White Buffalo. I want to write him off completely as a person, but damn those are some good riffs.
I don't really know what the point of this comment is; sorry for the mini-rant. Maybe I think we should be able to vilify people for the horrendous things they've done, but still be able to appreciate the art they've created? I don't know, this is a weird topic. I wouldn't want to shake Chuck Berry's hand, but damn if he wasn't an incredibly influential musician, and I can't deny that. Rereading this, it's completely disjointed, and doesn't really add anything to the conversation, but those are my two cents.
Mark Warlberg beat a random Vietnamese guy he didn't know with a club until he was knocked out while yelling racial slurs at him. The man was left permantly blind in one eye.
But he did find Jesus and "forgives himself."
Johnny Trinh lost his eye to a grenade while fighting in the Vietnam War, a much more badass reason than getting beat up by 16 year old Marky Mark and it's a shame that doesn't get told. Also both of them seem surprisingly cool about the whole thing.
Yeah, I just found that article too. Wahlberg was 16 at the time, spent time behind bars for the assault, and has since been forgiven by Trinh:
"He was young and reckless but I forgive him now," Trinh told the Daily Mail. "Everyone deserves another chance. … I would like to see him get a pardon. He should not have the crime hanging over him any longer."
Not totally sure what happened to the other guy he assaulted though ...
IIRC Warlberg did a reddit ama. This came up. It did not go well.
Marky Mark didn't exactly have a picturesque childhood. He was a cokehead by age 13.
I actually applaud people for overcoming their shitty origins and becoming better people. You act like people are incapable of growth or change.
Even the dude who got beaten has forgiven Wahlberg.
Which is why i think a lot of people give Wahlberg a pass. Society truly does reward people who sacrifice or make changes for the better.
Honestly i think society has a better cope with brutality than it does with subversion or manipulation.
didnt chris brown try to beat up frank ocean too?
fuck this guy
Frank beat his ass. And that dispute was over a parking spot. So I mean that's just a fight-fight not really an abusive situation.
Frank addresses the altercation on Futura Free, actually:
“..want fight in the streets, now shit startin’ to make my hands hurt. Jay hit me on the email, said I ought to act my net worth. Dog this is chess, now...”
Thanks for the reminder to give Blonde my daily listen
Also on Earl Sweatshirt’s song Sunday
"Why's his mug all bloody that was a 3 on 1" according to Frank
And why's his mug all bloody, that was a three on one?
God dammit guys this is supposed to be at the top of every CB thread:
Every time i see this bastards face on reddit, i hope to find this in the comment section:
A verbal argument ensued and Brown pulled the vehicle over on an unknown street, reached over Robyn F. with his right hand, opened the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn F. out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seat belt. When he could not force her to exit, he took his right hand and shoved her head against he passenger window of the vehicle, causing an approximate one-inch raised circular contusion.
Robyn F. turned to face Brown and he punched her in the left eye with his right hand. He then drove away in the vehicle and continued to punch her in the face with his right hand while steering the vehicle with his left hand. The assault caused Robyn F.'s mouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle.
Brown looked at Robyn F. and stated, 'I'm going to beat the shit out of you when we get home! You wait and see!'
The detective said Robyn F. then used her cell phone to call her personal assistant Jennifer Rosales, who did not answer.
Robyn F. pretended to talk to her and stated, 'I'm on my way home. Make sure the police are there when I get there.'
After Robyn F. faked the call, Brown looked at her and stated, 'You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I'm really going to kill you!'
Brown resumed punching Robyn F. and she interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face. She then bent over at the waist, placing her elbows and face near her lap in [an] attempt to protect her face and head from the barrage of punches being levied upon her by Brown.
Brown continued to punch Robyn F. on her left arm and hand, causing her to suffer a contusion on her left triceps (sic) that was approximately two inches in diameter and numerous contusions on her left hand.
Robyn F. then attempted to send a text message to her other personal assistant, Melissa Ford. Brown snatched the cellular telephone out of her hand and threw it out of the window onto an unknown street.
Brown continued driving and Robyn F. observed his cellular telephone sitting in his lap. She picked up the cellular telephone with her left hand and before she could make a call he placed her in a head lock with his right hand and continued to drive the vehicle with his left hand.
Brown pulled Robyn F. close to him and bit her on her left ear. She was able to feel the vehicle swerving from right to left as Brown sped away. He stopped the vehicle in front of 333 North June Street and Robyn F. turned off the car, removed the key from the ignition and sat on it.
Brown did not know what she did with the key and began punching her in the face and arms. He then placed her in a head lock positioning the front of her throat between his bicep and forearm. Brown began applying pressure to Robyn F.'s left and right carotid arteries, causing her to be unable to breathe and she began to lose consciousness.
She reached up with her left hand and began attempting to gouge his eyes in an attempt to free herself. Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and then released her. While Brown continued to punch her, she turned around and placed her back against the passenger door. She brought her knees to her chest, placed her feet against Brown's body and began pushing him away. Brown continued to punch her on the legs and feet, causing several contusions.
Robyn F. began screaming for help and Brown exited the vehicle and walked away. A resident in the neighborhood heard Robyn F.'s plea for help and called 911, causing a police response. An investigation was conducted and Robyn F. was issued a Domestic Violence Emergency Protective Order.
I had always seen the pictures, but never read the report. Man, fuck that guy.
Yup the report makes me sick too my stomach. Chris Brown is a punk bitch.
Fuck him and every other artist that associates with him. Fuck lil dicky and bieber.
One of the saddest days I had was learning that Busta Rhymes collaborated with that shithead on a song. And he had a completely badass verse on it, too.
Why the fuck would Lil Dicky make that video with this guy? “Controversial past” seems like an understatement
I honestly couldn't bring myself to finish the description.
That sounds more like attempted murder than domestic violence.
IM REALLY GONNA FUCKIN KILL YOU NOW
Yet this psychopath still has fans
Not only that but lots of people still work with him. I refuse to listen to any track he's a part of.
I'm always amazed at the level of poor decision-making artists have when working with other artists who are clearly shrouded in controversy. Like, Lady Gaga for instance – a truly amazing talent who seems like a good person – made a song with R. Kelly named "Do What You Want With My Body." Was there NO ONE on her team that was like "eh maybe that's not the best idea????"
Lost all respect for Lil Dicky when he made that freaky Friday song. Song sucked anyways, but no longer an LD fan.
Glad I'm not the only one. Though I only heard that one he did with snoop and a few others I'm unsure of the names. Anyone who willingly works with Chris brown now will never have my support.
Man, same. Was big LD fan for a long time, as soon as I saw that song pop up I was shocked. Couldn't believe he would collab with a piece of shit like him. Haven't listened to him since.
I don't think I've ever heard any of his music in my life and I hope to keep it that way
I wish the Spotify/Apple Music/google play/tidal/pandora’s of the world would allow users to boycott specific artists.
And serial killers get fanmail. There will always be people with a screw loose, but the industry has protected him and helped shield the reality of the violence to the general public. If the industry did the honorable thing, he wouldn't have a career to come back to.
I knew he beat her, but it wasn't until today's Reddit thread that I realized how much more fucked up it was in the police report.
He was 19 at the time. People always find little excuses. Along with that there's this whole mentality of "separate the art from the artist" as if the art doesn't support the artist and allow for them to be abusers.
The worst part about Chris Brown is that he's never changed. He keeps in the news with stories of beating women and men.
We gotta let go of that dill pickle ass hoe
Separating the art from artist just enables the artist. I hate when people take that stance. You might as well just say "separate the abuse from the abuser" and call it a day.
Same concept applies to all the XXXTENTACION fan accounts who still to this day say shit like “RIP X the world lost a good one 😭😭”
I get that he died, and that is truly awful. But just because he’s dead doesn’t mean he was a good person. He was a scumbag. Yet all these fans will argue the opposite until they are blue in the face.
and he has never repented for it. He wore that badge proudly and flaunted it
Holy fuck! I never seen the report tell now. This dude working his way to be a women killer!! What in the fuck in his life happened to him at a young age to have that kind of rage?! No excuse but damn nobody with a normal background has this kind of rage!
I can't even eat a sandwich and drive let alone beat the hell out of someone
I’d never read that, yikes. I was on the side that Chris Brown should never have been allowed to have a music career again after that, just on principles, but this was worse than I thought. Any idea I had in my head that she may have instigated or w/e is completely negated by this. I feel a little ashamed for having considered that even.
For the life of me I can't understand how people still are fans of him, I have friends that still listen to him . I just prefer not to mention music with them specifically r&b . It was just like a thing that happened for some reason domestic violence is seen as normal or just more often excused .
Chris Brown is a harder target, just because he's still very popular. Remember those photos of Rihanna after she got beaten by Brown? He still had tons of female fans DEFENDING him even when those photos were making the news. R. Kelly is way way easier because he's less popular and has done more news worthy terrible things recently (sex cult) than Brown.
Not saying that it's fair or right, just that you seem to float higher above the law the more money and popularity you have ( with a few exceptions).
While protests were going on outside R Kelly’s Chicago studio yesterday he was video taped in a Chicago club surrounded by young women trying to get their picture with him.
Singing, dancing, drinking, smoking his signature stogie. Like nothing happened. Crazy world we live in.
Hijacking for visibility.
I severely underestimated how bad the Chris Brown incident was before reading that.
I had the same reaction when I looked up a year or two ago. I feel like the really graphic details didn't get much mainstream coverage when the story broke. Most reporters just said he punched and threatened her. They really failed to relay the severity of the assault. The photos made my stomach churn. I'm all for prison reform and shorter sentences , but in light of the behavior pattern he's exhibited since then, he should he locked up for 10 years. The guy is a sociopath and life long criminal.
We felt that way because Chris Brown and his PR team did some major PR work. (see the comment I linked)
For convenience that included reddit censoring tons of threads. For example.
Look at all those deleted comments.
Damn, the remaining comments are pretty funny too. Everyone is either bashing the mods, complaining about how mainstream reddit's gotten, or suggesting everyone switch back to dig. If only they could see it today.
I guess it all boils down to how easily people with money and resources can manipulate the narrative.
Anything for fame.
I did venue security (not a bodyguard) for a few famous people. Let's use Justin Bieber for example. There were hundreds of young girls and their Moms and a few gay guys camped out for an entire weekend - sleeping on the sidewalk, simply for a CHANCE to see him.
I had to BEG people to go the fuck home, cause we knew (and got word) that there was no way he was coming out to greet people. Why? Because he was getting wasted doing blow with some groupies (think of the very hot bar-scene girls from a big city). Occasionally they would send out a bodyguard to "scout the talent" and invite the most willing and attractive of age girls to go up to meet him. I.e. party, drugs, sex.
I tried explaining this to everyone. I also asked the Moms and daughters why the fuck they wanted to meet him. What did he do for them? At best, they MIGHT get a wave from him. Is that worth sleeping on city sidewalks, rushing to public washrooms, and giving up all sense of dignity for the IDEA that you'll meet an idol who doesn't give a shit?
Apparently it was worth it, cause I only managed to turn away about 15 of the 25-30 groups (many went home on their own as it got late into the night).
On this day, I learned people are sheep.
Oh, and I also watched friends turn on each other - as Biebers staff would invite one girl up, but refuse their friend. And they wanted to do it.
Goddamn. We exalt celebrities too much, particularly the entertainers and athletes.
I saw this when he came to attend a Christian conference in Australia and it made me profoundly sad. There were mothers (unrelated to the conference) who would take their daughters, on school days, to wait outside his hotel for hours every day just to see him pull out in a blacked out SUV. It was the most pathetic thing I've seen in my life.
This isn’t even surprising and makes perfect sense. Think about it from a girls perspective there is actually a chance they might get to party and sleep with Justin Bieber if they’re hot enough. It’s not the same for females celebs but if dudes could show up and wait outside clubs for the chance to party with like Jennifer Lawrence or xyz hot female celeb and maybe fuck them, there would deff be mad dudes waiting there all weekend too. But a dude is never going to just be hot enough where Scarlett Johansson might incite him to party and fuck later walking into a club, but if Bieber was a smoking hot girl there’s a very slim chance but a chance a random girl can be invited to party.
Haha you’ve just reminded me of that thing that happened recently in NY where a girl matched with a ton of guys on Tinder, and invited them all to meet up in Union Square at the same time (without them knowing obviously), and proceeded to have them undergo a Hunger Games style elimination competition to go on a date with her. She was just some random fairly attractive lady and half the guys stayed to compete for a chance at a date that she might not even show up to or be remotely interested in...
.001% of 330 million people is still 3,300 people.
These three factors are compounding and we live in a world where you can be hated by 99.999% of the country and still be a successful, wealthy, and even popular in your own little corner of the world. The disgust and distrust of society the average person feels when they see the manifestations of society at this scale is not easily moderated by a rational and statistical understanding of this phenomenon.
We knew in 1994 that R. Kelly was bad news with that whole marry Aaliyah when she was 15 thing happened. We knew something was up in 2002 with that video. He has been enjoying a 27 year career, despite that.
Expect the tide to turn on Chris Brown in 2036.
Girl I grew up with told me Rihanna deserved it and she would put up with beatings to be with Chris Brown
Like wtf girl
This is the shit that blows my mind. The weird “Jason Momoa could spit in my mouth” tongue-in -cheek stuff is one thing, but how do you get to a point of celebrity worship where you’d un-ironically be willing to be abused just to date a celebrity? That mindset is...disturbing.
200% agree that's just fucking weird
I will never love another person enough to where I devalue myself for them
Not even if it was Beyonce
I would only let Beyonce slap my butt but that's it
Same with Jeremy Meeks, he’s a piece of human garbage. The portmanteau is #garbae
Remember those photos of Rihanna after she got beaten by Brown? He still had tons of female fans DEFENDING him even when those photos were making the news.
Go look at R Kelly's soundcloud where he put out a new song on the first. He has people defending him on it right this very moment even after the show and has had large groups of people defending him at every step. (historically, most of R Kellys defense are from female fans)
He still had tons of female fans DEFENDING him even when those photos were making the news.
serial killers who killed (or slaughtered) women, female students, girls, they all get fanmail and sometimes marry one of those crazed lunatics.
Like the Night stalker case from California in the '80s. This motherfucker killed and raped old women. Outright evil scumbag. Got fan mail and eventually married one of his fans.
Like what were these women a "fan" of? His murders?
They hate being bored. Murder is exciting and interesting.
Seriously, some women are into "I can fix him, he'll hate everyone but me and I'll be his only love".
He's not a fucking stray cat. He's insane. These are facts.
Some women are also turned on to being married to a monster that they don't think will turn on them. Some think they would be and enjoy the feeling of being the "exception".
Success defines morality. "Don't care he's sexy,good,successful"
Yeah, but didn’t Chris Brown help with a kidnapping of a woman last year?
Wait what? Is this true?
Yeah bro he was on the news here in L.A. cops surrounding his house in stuff. Wild
Wasn’t this case dropped?
Edit: nope never mind still on going smh
Boy George chained a prostitute to the wall of his apartment in the hopes of turning him into a sex slave.
It’s not like the R Kelly stuff is new, Dave Chapelle had several jokes about R Kelly like 15 years ago.
Boondocks had a whole episode on it. Exactly the same shit then as it is now.
I'm big mad at Lil dicky for doing a track with this asshole.
Right? That line brushing off his "controversial past" made me cringe
“Ain’t nobody judging 'cause I’m black or my controversial past I’ma go and see a movie and relax”
This is rapped by Lil Dicky, but is from Chris Brown’s perspective because they switched bodies. He is relieved to not be recognized for once. Not sure if this is brushing it off as you say.
I think the use of “controversial” is brushing it off. I get he still has fans that might argue for him, but in no way should beating a woman brutally be considered controversial. It should be unanimously considered horrific.
100% Controversial implies there’s any contention in his favor. And there isn’t.
And not only doing a collab, but the whole point of the song was to show how much he admires and wants to be Chris Brown
P R E A C H
yeah he knew what he did, and still did a song with him. he's a sellout.
I don’t even care if he’s a sell out.
What I care about is that any time you associate yourself with abusers, you’re telling them that it’s okay. You’re saying “hey, you did this horrifically shitty thing, but I don’t care about that”. And when you do that, you hurt every single person who has ever been abused. Fuck Dicky for making that song with him. When he did that, he told everyone loud and clear that he doesn’t give a fuck about men beating the living hell out of women.
That track was so fucking cringe too.
John Lennon also beat his first wife. Doesn't he belong on this list of piles of shits as well?
Have you ever read the public letter Lennon's oldest son wrote? How his dad was an asshole and he hates when people tell him they loved his dad... kind of gives you an inside glance of how these superstars really are.
My heart broke for him that day.
I think Julian Lennon has said Paul felt more like his dad at times than John did.
That was the entire point of "Hey, Jude" (and John Lennon was such a massive egotist that he had to claim the song was about him instead).
Yup and Lennon didnt leave him shit in his will. Sean was clearly the "favorite."
I was watching interviews just last night with Julian who said he has been going around for years buying back memoribillia of his dad's just so he has something. One was a guitar I think that said to Julian happy birthday love dad. Shit like that. He has to buy it back. Because either he was left nothing or Yoko wouldn't give him shit. He wasn't clear on the reason in the interview.
Julian has had time to grow and live, let go of his anger. But you can tell he lives and breathes for his mother and his half brother.
Best quote - being angry at Sean's mother, only serves to hurt Sean, and I don't want that. I love Sean too much.
Julian is class. John was an ass.
Having said that, I do enjoy all of the Lennon's music. I don't agree with a lot of things to do with John though.
Just my two cents.
John Lennon was a douche to his first wife and Julian. He had a history of assaulting women as well. That whole peace, love and grooving was his way of feeling guilty about it, but not really doing anything about it. Also, Yoko is a shit singer and artist. Just thought I'd throw that in there.
I never liked John. There was something about him, other than Yoko, that just put me off.
Gut feeling confirmed
"I loved your dad"
"At least one of us did."
I'm pretty sure Paul McCartney wrote "Hey Jude" for Lennon's son...because everyone knew his father was a POS
Those two love each other. He says that of all the Beatles, including his father, he was closest to Paul.
Woody Allen's kid wrote similarly about his pedo father.
For the record, Woody Allen's kid is Ronan Farrow and he broke the Weinstein scandal too :)
And looks disturbingly like Frank Sinatra.
"Roses are red
Violets are blue
I hate my pedo dad
And so should you"
Yes. I was shocked when I read May Pang's book, it was an eye-opener regarding Jonh's life and behavior.
Can we also please talk about Steven Tyler's child sex slave? Also, how he would trick her out to other famous and beloved musicians like Paul McCartney, David Bowie and the like?
Care to elaborate on Bowie's claims? Never heard of it before
Lori Mattix. She's a famous underage groupie.
These stories have been posted all over reddit, but they don't care and still idolise him and other rock stars who have clearly fucked underage girls.
jesus. in one sentence " I felt like I was being kidnapped. " and then two sentences later "It was perfect. He mesmerized me. I fell in love instantly."
i understand but it's kind of awful to see something like that from someone else's perspective written down with the cognitive dissonance so clear.
This might sound petty but Paul Mccartneys not in that article?
All them old rockstars have done horrible things. You hear about Led Zeppelin and the shark? *shudder
Groupie culture is predatory af.
What’s the story of zeppelin and the shark
After reading that article, my first response was to think that woman sounds insane. Then, I realized that she spent much of her formative years being preyed upon by the biggest rock stars in the world and that is the reason she is insane. She says at one point that her own mother even gave Jimmy Page permission to be with her. What. The. Fuck.
I have seen
"It' was a different time"
"It was consensual"
"her mom was okay with it"
"It's not rape rape"
"It's not as bad as R Kelly's slave dungeon whatever thing"
"She doesn't regret it"
:Not to knock what they did which WAS statutory rape , but in Page and Bowie case it was consentual.. Lori Maddox and Sable Starr even to this day remember it fondly.. Which is a far cry from Spacey and R. Kelly past victims." 80 votes
"It is considered consensual in some (many) European countries"
I thought everyone was in agreement about child predators being pieces of shit but I guess not
Not when they're your favorites.
that or they want to make it seem normal for some reason
But nah man I grew up listening to R. Kelly and not like oh I heard his songs on the radio I mean like I can sing along with every song on every album my parents bought the week it came out up to tp2. I haven't been able to listen to him for a while I used to try to think like "separate the man from the music" but I just can't dude is fucking disgusting and the people trying to defend him are too it's ridiculous
Literally nobody has forgotten. They either know and care or know and don't care. Every week someone posts the same exact thing.
"With all this talk about Michael Cohen, let us not forget about Chris Brown"
"With all the focus on gun violence, let us not forget about Chris Brown"
I hope one day everyone forgets about Chris Brown and he fades into obscurity where he belongs instead of constantly being discussed.
