Almost every single dinner I have together with my older sisters they'll joke if there is a girl yet. I love my sisters and I know its just a joke. But it's always a little awkward and I never know how to respond. I bet they've caught on that I'm gay by this point though.
I have a similar story pertaining to kinda clueless parents . One time at a Thanksgiving dinner, after I had come out to my immediate family, my dad was talking about his coworker’s daughter around my same age to all the extended family. He was saying how he and his coworker were semi-jokingly talking about how that girl and I should go out and everyone else at the dinner took it as I should totally make her my gf. I gave my dad the hardest evil eye/confused look, like WTF you know I’m gay why are you now making everyone else bring up the gf talk now!???
that is so uncomfortable omg.
I happen to be a ginger... * drops a soap
My mom is constantly asking me if I've met any cute girls (my dad, oddly, does not). My mom wanted to set me up on a blind date with a girl last month. She's always asking me if I think *insert random girl from TV show/movie* is cute. I get the feeling. It's awk
Just a heads up, if they're "joking" about hooking you up with a girl, they think that you're straight.
