It's all beauty and poetry until it's all damp and decay.
Nobody told you to live in Gary Indiana
i live in Indianapolis indiana and it looks like that
I'm down in Bloomington and we've been having pretty decent fall weather so far. I'm pretty surprised, back in FW we usually have a decently wet fall iirc.
Update: woke up to snow and an ice storm.
Evansville and it’s winter, there was no Fall..
yup, we skipped fall entirely this year. WHERE IS MY FIFTY DEGREE WEATHER?!?!?!!?!?
Australia here, the only 'fall' we are experiencing is when we don't hang on tight enough to the bottom of the planet !
Can confirm the shit weather from Fishers.
Went to Evansville twice to visit a girl I dated for a while. Thanksgiving, and May. Pretty sure it was still cold in May.
Did you notice this picture needs more jpeg
Hello fellow Evansville-person, this cold weather is killing me, I miss fall
Ayyy I live like 30 mins from you
It's summer and summer and then fall comes in right in front of Winter freezing everything to death.
Here in Grand Rapids, Michigan it's summer, fool's fall, summer, 1 month of real fall, 6 months of frozen, snow covered tundra, fool's spring, second winter (usually happens at around late April/second week of May) and back to summer again
Evansville native here, this is correct. Lol
Franklin here and there is not winter or spring this year.
Yeah, that bottom half screamed Russia to me. Been in Russia in the fall and winter, and most places seem to look exactly like that - muddy.
Pretty sure that's Westside of Rochester, NY. Look closely and you can see the trails from the crossfired bullets. Or scratch it and sniff the scent of Dutch Masters and Honey Brown Ale.
Bloomington in the fall is what made me decide to go there.
West Lafayette checking in, can confirm my sister-in-law in Bedford, IN is/was having a much nicer looking fall when I visited last weekend than the bastard child weather we’re having the pleasure of experiencing up here.
Everything looks beautiful when framed by the Sample gates.
I'm in California. Shit's on fire, yo.
Yeah you guys really took the colour palette of autumn too far this year.
Raleigh, NC on the same page here!
I live in Asheville and it looks like the “internet” picture here for 2ish weeks. Then it looks like the other picture.
It seems like the problem is Indiana
Yeah when I was in middle school and first played through the Chernobyl levels of Call of Duty all I could think was "oh wow this is exactly what Indianapolis looks and feels like in the fall."
I dunno if it's different elsewhere, but in Indiana the moment that the leaves start falling it tends to be grey skies every day. Super fucking dreary and almost ominous.
I have lived throughout indiana and can tell you most of indiana looks worse
Head down to eagle creek, it's freakishly beautiful!
Gary Indiana is the East St Louis of Chicago.
I kind of love that drive east going fishing in michigan, just to see that dump and remind myself life's not as bad as it could be.
This guy has never been to East Chicago.
i'm from canada and we drove through gary indiana yesterday and i was so excited because reddit always talks about how shitty it is, it felt like i was visiting a landmark. everyone else in the truck was definitely not as enthused as i was lol.
I'm from Gary, IN and this is way too nice to be Gary. Here is a video of something driving around Gary.
I thought they said the sun never shines in the ghetto
I grew up just a few counties south in Illinois sharing the Indiana boarder - Kankakee
Can confirm every joke, pun, reference, and explanation in this thread is true.
Might as well be purgatory
For real what a shithole
Gary Indiana Gary Indiana Gary Indianaaaaaaaa.
But yes, you are correct
I've never heard of that town in Russia
This is Coney Island, New York.
Not enough winos or hookers for Coney.
Isn't that where John Wayne Gacy killed all those kids as the "Killer Clown."
That was outside Chicago
Fort Wayne here, can confirm Indiana does look like this in Fall.
Me too! I’m ready for it to stop raining!
California here, what is this rain stuff that you speak of?
Sorry buddy, I wish I could send it all your way! I hope you and your home are safe.
Yeah, it's rained like every day for the past month up here in New England too. It finally stopped this week. And by stopped raining I mean started snowing....
You couldn't start a forest fire with a B-52 full of napalm bombs in New York or New England right now.
Not with that attitude.
CNY here to confirm. I finally took down my Halloween decorations because they were freezing. I was putting it off waiting for a dry day that never came
North Alabama here and can its rained every day for the past 2 weeks it seems.
Statistically, it's rained about every other day in Maryland this year. We would all gladly give the excess to Cali.
I'm in MoCo, Maryland and it's been raining a shitton these past few days. Apparently we're having snow or sleet tonight.
You could douse California with the humid air in GA.
Fellow Californian checking in.
“Get this. They think we’re stupid enough to believe that water can pour out of the sky. And they said it happens from clouds. You know those fluffy cotton balls that float in the sky like once a year. Yeah I’m not falling for that. What’s next? You gonna tell me that little piece of ice are gonna fall from the sky too?”
It’s the opposite of fire.
Michigan here. We had rain for nearly all of October.
I don't mean like, it was grey for a few days, I mean it fucking rained every goddamn day of October. Or at least, it seems like it did. Shit was annoying
So look out your window and imagine if water came from all those smoke clouds.
we don't have rain season we have fire season
Seriously time to build a giant pump station and a pipeline to the west coast to get rid of all this rain.
I’ve been thinking this could help with flooding in the east coast. Have the water pump through areas where they need water in land and towards the west coast.
Then again there would be major ecological issues with this as well as possible catastrophes if the system doesn’t work.
But it would create more jobs.
There's been an idea floated for a long time of a pipeline from the pacific ocean to death valley. You flood the desert, the water evaporates and creates weather systems that cause precipitation across the state while also making death valley more habitable. Assuming you could do this safely you'd still end up dealing with a fuckton of salt though.
Anyone want to trade some fire for some rain? We got plenty of fire.
Rain? You mean snow.
North Texas just came out of a solid month of heavy rains and jumped straight into below freezing temperatures. All the green leaves on the trees have now frozen solid and fallen off the branches. So much for fall.
Tennessee is one big rainy, cold bucket of suck.
It's been raining for 4 days without a stop lol end my life
This is what England looks like 24/7
Is this photo from russian city?
Looks like some neighborhoods in Ottawa Canada.
Seriously... Prince of Wales right there.
I was going to say it definitely looks like somewhere in Southern Ontario. That apartment in the background screams Southern Ontario.
Looks like Edmonton to me.
Well we all seem to agree Fall in a Canadian city is generally shit.
Or Vancouver Island.
Yes, I'm sure of it. I don't know why, I guess I just feel the mud of motherland.
90's cars. Mud everywhere. Horizon filling flats. The only thing missing is a group of gopniks idling and drinking unidentified bottles.
This is definitely an eastern european country. You can just tell if you're a slav, it's not the us
This is like most of America actually.
Fall in Tampa looks like summer in Tampa which also looks like winter and spring in Tampa. Today's high is supposed to be 86!
It's all wonderful until the lightning starts talking out transformers one at a time on the way down your block.
Buckle in! Its gonna be high of 70 tomorrow!
Seriously, it's impressive how shitty this is. A picture doesn't even take that much data so there's zero reason.
Well it's probably been reported from Reddit to Facebook to Tumblr to 9gag, then back to Facebook, over to 4chan, back to Tumblr, a couple times on Instagram and finally back here. All that reposting takes a toll on the pixels.
Looks like Cleveland
guess which picture
Looks like Moscow. Do they have metal sheets car shelters in Cleveland?
It could be a back road in literally any city in Central or Eastern Europe.
Come on down to Cleveland town everyone!
Under construction since 1868!
The only season I enjoy being in the Northeast United States is fall. It really does look like the top picture over here.
It looks like that in Appalachia too.
MN also. Only it was like a month ago. There’s snow on the ground now and all the leaves are down. It’s winter here.
Appalachia has some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. I'd say it doesn't get enough credit for that but I think it's fairly well known.
I'm in Charlotte, NC and my next door neighbors' tree shed these bright orange leaves. Feels like I need to put shades on just to look over at their yard.
For a week. I’m in the northeast and it already looks like ass in a lot of areas.
In NYC it’s just extra leafy.
Up above the end of civilization(the Cross County) it’s quite nice.
NY here, my college campus looks like top pic
Northeast here as well (central NY). It definitely looked like the top picture until Halloween, then changed to the bottom picture, and now we have snow. All of which is par for the course.
So why not move to the internet?
Accurate. My tree just goes from Green to bald and dead practically overnight.
I live in New England, so I do see pictures like the top. Sadly though, it only lasts for about 1 week, before Winter arrives, and the bottom picture looks more accurate. But, for that one week, it's absolutely beautiful.
My Fall has more jpeg.
That's not Fall, that's post-Fall pre-Winter.
I recently moved from Phoenix, where fall is still just the desert.
Never seen a window over a sidewalk before.
Your life needs more jpeg.
Wow look at this guy bragging about being able to see trees from his window.
Live in Florida lmao
This is so funny! Wait, no its not, this is karma whoring, which actually makes it funny again, way to go full circle op
y is ur window on the ground?
It was also 19 degrees with wind chill of 11. Fall can eat my ass.
Looks like a suburb/city with sprawled out trees that are completely exposed to wind and rain. Whereas the top picture is a wooded trail where the foliage can last longer.
Fall is a very specific 5-day window, and if you miss it then you miss it. Other than that it's all grey and miserable. I love it.
The difference is the above picture was taken by someone who walked probably a significant distance to get to a spot worth sharing with the world.
You just kinda...turned 90° in your computer chair :)
Texan here. Maybe had one week of fall.... Now it's winter.. probably be summer next week. Winter and summer are in a strong battle against each other around this time of year
The pic on the bottom is a few weeks past its peak...there are no more leaves in the trees. I am sure it will be as colorful as the other one if that was just taken at its peak. Fall season is really the best!
Upgrade your graphics card and install some mods
That *** lol
It was just rainy and gloomy for 10 straight days. By the time it was sunny today, all the leaves were gone. Bullshit ass Fall.
View the world through your phone's camera with the saturation turned up to 110%.
More like fallout...
My yard actually looks like the first picture and it sucks. I mulched and bagged eight giant yard bags and i have barely touched the yard. I like the colors but hate cleaning it up.
Dead leaves and the dirty ground
Looks like autumn to me
