“violence in the name of white supremacy”
We are both victims of white supremacy and are perpetrators of white supremacy.
The people who scream loudest always get the attention.
This just speaks to the complexity of identity. The Jewish identity is vastly different in Israel where we are the majority, then how it is in America and other countries where we are a minority. Trying to link or equate these events speaks to the dichotomy between oppressor and oppressed, but is done in poor taste- in my opinion. While both are linked to the Jewish people- the context is completely different and to do this in the states invites an comparison that isn’t entirely though through.
UC Berkeley and many other Californian universities really come off as degenerates.
